I’m a former Division 1 athlete and had the opportunity to train under the world’s leading coaches and trainers. I played soccer on Olympic development teams throughout my adolescence and went on to play Division I soccer at the University of Colorado.
I discovered triathlon in adulthood and went on to finish an Ironman. As an Ironman triathlete, I know that conditioning the mind and managing the breath are the keys to conditioning your body.
I’m an avid traveler and I’ve taught yoga and fitness all over the world, leading groups on pre-dawn runs through the streets of Cartagena and lead camel rides on the shimmering beaches of Morocco .
Now, I help busy, driven people just like you achieve your overall wellness goals in the time that you have.
Here’s what I know to be true: if your fitness regimen doesn’t challenge you, or if you’re merely going through the motions to “put your time in” at the gym, you’ll never achieve the physical and mental transformation you deeply desire.

THE OPEKAFIT METHOD PHILOSOPHY
The transformative power of the OpekaFit Method lies in the combination of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and the targeted muscle conditioning and centering practice of yoga.
OpekaFit combines the toning, fat-burning, and strengthening benefits of HIIT with stress relief, muscle conditioning, and enhanced focus of yoga to effectively guide you to your physical and mental peak performance level.
Vigorous high intensity interval training will raise your heart rate and activate your anaerobic threshold, allowing your body to burn calories and fat. Lower intensity intervals and vinyasa flows increase your aerobic capacity and endurance. It’s balanced out by incorporating yoga poses to improve range of motion, flexibility, strength, focus and breath, and stress management.
My goal is to make you more functional, flexible, and fit. I want you to bask in the pride and confidence that comes with feeling better, thinking clearer, and looking your best.

My peers in high school thought I was crazy for choosing to run 8 miles at 7am every morning before class! Early morning jogs build neurons in the brain, impart diaphragmatic breathing to spark the parasympathetic system and calm nerves - I hope they figured it out!
I completed an Ironman in Louisville, KY in 2010
I started my lifelong love affair with travel at the ripe old age of 9! My favorite childhood memories are those of our family going to Europe, Africa and the Middle East on TWA vacation getaways. I even had a “travel wardrobe!”
I led a group of retreat guests through the streets of Cartagena before dawn. It was at that moment I discovered the life-changing effects of connecting to your body, connecting to culture and connecting to others on a shared journey.
I’ve used fitness,well-being, travel and yoga as a way of finding my purpose and continuing on the path of personal and spiritual growth in order to live my best life. And I am passionate about sharing that ability with others as a means to living life to your true potential.
